Nesvull, the Dragonborn Dragon Shaman

evilgoblin.com is intended to act as a supplement to a paper character sheet and paper rule books. It is not a replacement. You'll find it's great at automatic stat recalculation, and is a good reference for rules your character already has, but you'll still want the rule books to look up other rules and to help you choose new feats and stuff like that.

I've based the D&D v3.5 rule set on the open content at the hypertext SRD. I've added all the races, skills and the core stats, but most of the classes and equipment aren't there yet. If there is anything missing that you need, let me know and I'll add it on-demand. Full details and limitations are listed on the ABOUT page. The INFO page contains a user manual for the character sheet.

The only classes supported are: Ranger, Bard, (and Dragon Shamen in the protected rule set). And only the first few levels are valid. Druid is empty. Don't expect it to work.

Here is the example character sheet I made.

evilgoblin.com/sheet/?x=21

It uses the protected rule set, so you won't be able to view all the features unless you're signed in as someone with whom I've shared that rule set.

You have to be signed in to create a new character. Anyone can sign in.

After creating the character via the "New Character" button at evilgoblin.com "Home", I chose these values.

Nesvull

'Nathan's D&D v3.5

Then you click on the image to go to the character sheet. It starts you on the LEVEL page and instructs you to tap the + above the LEVEL icon to add a class.

LEVEL+ > Class > Dragon Shaman

The app rolls random ability scores. You'll have to replace those with your actual rolls. I've included them from your character sheet here. These are your rolls before they're modified by your race.

Strength 18
Dexterity 14
Constitution 15
Intelligence 12
Wisdom 12
Charisma 17

Then you get to choose your bonus feat, alignment, and race.

Entangling Exhalation
Chaotic Good
Dragonborn

Level 1 was automatically added and it lets you choose class features. Note that only choices are displayed here. Straight-up bonuses are just added. You can see them by clicking the level1 text to see the rule description or by clicking the other pages to which they have been added.

"Dragon Shamon Level 1" knows that you get to choose Draconic Auras and your Totem Dragon.

Draconic Power
Draconic Vigor
Draconic Toughness
Brass Totem Dragon

The app currently rolls random HP, but at 1st level you should choose the max. It also doesn't compute your skill points. You'll have do that yourself. I've used the correct value below.

Hit Points 10
Skills 12 = (2+1)x4

You click the + button to add skills to allocate your available points. The interface tells you which are class skills and tallies the total, but doesn't prevent you from overspending.

Bluff 2
Climb 2
Gather Information 2
Intimidate 2
Search 2
Survival 2

Next click on the STATS icon to see the STATS page.

There are some choices here due to your selected race.

Draconic Heart
Human Frame

The app doesn't know that you get bonus languages at 1st level from your INT bonus so you have to add that yourself.

STATS+ > Languages > Elven

Note that stat values show Min/Max where Max is bonuses that have conditions. These appear in a checklist on the battle board, so you can indicate which conditions are in force. Conditions that aren't in force appear in grey text in the popups.

There shouldn't be any choices for you on the SKILLS or FEATS page at this point. Look at these pages to see what was automatically added. Note that all skills that can be used untrained were automatically added.

Next click on the GEAR icon to see the GEAR page.

Add your weapons and armor.

GEAR+ > Armor > Scale Mail
GEAR+ > Armor > Heavy Wooden Shield

Click the + button beside "Scale Mail" and select "Armor Enhancements" then "Masterwork Armor". Also click the X button beside each to indicate that you're currently wearing this armor and shield.

GEAR+ > Weapons > Javelin
GEAR+ > Weapons > Morningstar

Similarly mark the weapons as masterwork, and activate the weapon that is drawn.

There is nothing implemented in the PLACE page.

You don't have spells, so the MAGIC page is empty. You can add any spells here, say because you have them as a potion or a scroll. There is no good organization yet regarding spell level, spells/day, etc.

Next click on the BATTLE icon to see the BATTLE page.

Here you can activate weapons to see their Hit/Damage at the specified opponent range. Note that you can toggle their modes, (i.e. between melee and thrown for a club), and that you can click Hit/Damage to toggle between expanded and collapsed mode.

On the BATTLE page you can add effects that allies may cast on you. For example, Inspire Courage.

BATTLE+ > Quick List > Supernatural Abilities > Inspire Courage

Now when the Bard casts this on the group, you can activate it so that it shows up in your stats.

Next click on the LEVEL icon to see the LEVEL page.

LEVEL+ > Level > Dragon Shaman Level 2

Click the "Dragon Shaman Level 2" text to see the rule info. This lets you know what was added by this level.

As with level 1, you must adjust the Hit Points and Skill Points, and choose appropriate skills. Although the app pre-fills each new level with the previous level's choices. Remember you can long-press to delete an entry.

Hit Points 5
Skills 3 = (2+1)

Gather Information 1
Intimidate 1
Search 1

Next click on the FEATS icon to see the FEATS page.

Note that the level-up workflow didn't explicitly tell you that you received the skill focus bonus feat, and that you had to choose one of your dragon totem's class skills as the target. That appears in the rule text, but the app workflow doesn't lead you through it

Skill Focus > + > Gather Information 3

If you look at the other pages, you'll see that your base attack and your saves have increased. You can click on "Dragon Shaman Level 2" to see everything that was added.

LEVEL+ > Level > Dragon Shaman Level 3

"Dragon Shamon Level 3" knows that you get to choose a Draconic Aura. It shows the full Aura list, but will complain if you pick a duplicate.

Draconic Energy Shield

As with the other levels, you must adjust the Hit Points and Skill Points, and choose appropriate skills. Although the app pre-fills each new level with the previous level's choices. Remember you can long-press to delete an entry.

Hit Points 6
Skills 3 = (2+1)

Gather Information 1
Intimidate 1
Search 1

If you look at the other pages, you'll see that your base attack and your saves have increased. You can click on "Dragon Shaman Level 3" to see everything that was added.

Also note that you get a bonus feat at character level 3. This choice appears under the character levels group.

Dodge

Here is the resulting backup of these choices:
